Dielectric Constant and Ferroelectric Hysteresis
Supervisor: Dr. Jürgen Vogt
The capacitance and the loss resistance of ceramic disks are measured at two different frequencies. From that the real and imaginary part of the dielectric constant are determined. A special class of dielectrics are ferroelectrics. The spontaneous polarisation and the phase transition in ferroelectric solids are studied by measuring the change of the dielectric constant with temperature. Additionally the dielectric hysteresis is measured.
- Measurement of the dielectric constant
- Measurement of the dielectric constant of a ferroelectric with phase transition
- Determination of the temperature dependence of the spontaneous polarisation of a ferroelectric
- Determination of the coefficient of the Landau-development of a ferroelectric
