The century of the dance (2019) With this exhibition from 24 August to 21 September 2019 under the motto “Was der Körper erinnert. The working group ARCHIVE was founded by Franziska Voss and Prof. Dr. Patrick Primavesi at the 13th congress of the society for theatre studies in Frankfurt am Main and Gießen in 2016. The objective was to strengthen the connections of the  archives with research and academic teaching. Archives of theatre, dance and performance are locations where artistic practice can be historically evaluated and researched in a source-critical way, but they are also influenced by the impulses of the artists themselves regarding forms of presentation, usage and accessibility. Online catalogue (OPAC) of the university library Leipzig (UBL) The book and magazine contents of the former specialized library of the dance archive leipzig as well as a multitude of movies can be found in the online catalogue (OPAC) of the university library Leipzig (UBL). A part of the dance specific literature can also be found on the 2nd floor in the open-access section “theatre,dance, film”. Further dance related material can be ordered and partially borrowed in the reading rooms.
