Katie loves her family, weird quirks included. However, she can’t help but feel misunderstood by her parents and longs for a fresh start at Art School in California. Her Dad insists on one last road trip to bond as a family. And so, the Mitchells embark on a trip across the country to drop Katie off at college. Bumps along the way are to be expected, a global robot uprising is not one of them. Will they be able to save the world and repair their relationships at the same time?

This animated film combines humor with a realistic portrayal of problems and tension between family members. The storyline about the ethics and consequences of a technology-driven society also helps make this film suitable for a variety of ages.
