This eco-critical picture book tells the story of climate activist Greta Thunberg for young readers. Once upon a time, the greedy giants, who built large cities and factories, threaten the forest’s biodiversity. They started to log down the trees, as they need more wood for their business. First, Greta is the only one, who stands up for the plants and animals to protect the environment, but soon she is joined by others. Will the giants finally listen to Greta and her friends?

This empowering fairytale offers reasons to discuss climate change, environmental pollution and political activism with young learners of English. Inspired by the ‘real’ story of Greta Thunberg, it outlines how a small girl made a difference and demonstrates to its readers that “if we all work together, we can change the world.”
