Dr. Lars Vogel
Dr. Lars Vogel is research fellow and teaches at the Institute for Political Science at the Leipzig University. He studied political science, sociology and philosophy in Jena and Budapest. He received his doctorate in 2016 with a thesis on political representation in Germany, in which he investigated the extent and causes of (in-)congruencies in the political attitudes of members of parliament and the population. He worked as a research fellow at the DFG Collaborative Research Centre 580, the Institute of Sociology and the Komrex – Centre for Right-Wing Extremism Research, Democracy Education and Social Integration at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Since October 2017 he has been responsible for the Research Unit Empirical Methods and Political Sociology. Lars Vogel is Executive Board Member of the RC02 “Political Elites” of the International Political Science Association.
