The Networks started under the coordination of David Lindenfeld from Louisiana State University and Matthias Middell in 2008 and has meet since regularly all the two years, in 2017, after the resignation of David Lindenfeld, Holger Weiss joined and has further connected the activities of the network with those of the European Network of Universal and Global History of which he is acting president 2018-2021.
