Arrival by Airplane at Leipzig-Halle Airport

After your arrival by airplane at Leipzig-Halle Airport, go to the airport train service and take the S-Bahn (suburban train) S5 or S5X in direction “Zwickau (Sachs) Hbf”. Please leave at the sixth stop “Leipzig MDR”. This takes up to 25 minutes. Please buy a single ticket (“Einzelfahrkarte”, 6.20 EUR, valid for 2 hours) for 3 zones (110, 162, 163) at the ticket machine on the platform and validate it at the stamping machine on the platform before entering the S-Bahn.

Walking from “Leipzig MDR” to the BBZ at Deutscher Platz 5 takes about 13 minutes. Please see Google Maps for details.

Arrival by Train at Leipzig Central Station

From the tram stop outside the Central Station, the conference location can be reached by tram. You can take tram line 16 in direction “Lößnig”. After 6 stops, you will arrive at the destination “Deutsche Nationalbibliothek”. Please buy a single ticket (“Einzelfahrkarte”, 3.50 EUR, valid for 1 hour) on one of the ticket machines and validate it after entering the tram. Walking from “Deutsche Nationalbibliothek” to the BBZ at Deutscher Platz 5 takes about 7 minutes. Please see Google Maps for details.

Arrival by Car

Leipzig can be reached by car via autobahn A14 (Halle–Dresden) or A9 (Berlin–Nürnberg). In case you are coming from autobahn A9, change to A14 in direction Dresden at the interchange “Schkeuditzer Kreuz”. Leave the A14 at the exit “Leipzig-Mitte”, and follow the B2 in direction city center. For more information, please see Google Maps.
