„The Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG, German Research Foundation) plans to help scientists and academics who have fled their home countries to participate in research projects.“
The DFG funded International Research Training Group (IRTG 2079) "Cold Controlled Ensembles in Physics and Chemistry" (University of Freiburg) wants to support this project and offers, subject to the allocation of funds through the DFG:
Up to 3 QUALIFICATION FELLOWSHIPS/POSITIONS.
The fellowships should be provided for young academics who have fled their home countries and who have a very good university degree in physics or physical chemistry. The integration in the research group should give the candidate the opportunity to prepare a PhD project.
Additionally the IRTG offers:
Up to 3 POSITIONS FOR RESEARCH FELLOWS.
The positions for Research Fellows are for experienced researchers, who have fled their home countries and who hold a PhD in physics or physical chemistry. The position will be fully embedded in the IRTG 2079.
The IRTG 2079 focusses on experimental and theoretical atomic and molecular physics, physical chemistry and quantum optics, so that the candidates should be familiar with at least one of these fields.
Language of instruction is English.
