Leuphana University of Lüneburg will be opening a choice of regular courses to refugees in the Winter Semester 2015/2016. The 'Bridging Program' has been designed to enable refugees to take exams and receive academic credit. Courses will be taught in either English or German. Up to two courses (modules) can be taken per semester. Regular attendance is required. Attendance, academic achievements and credits gained will be documented in a certificate.
The Bridging Program is open to refugees with an academic background or academic ambition, regardless the residential status.
Applicants will have to prove sufficient knowledge of written and oral English or German necessary for successful studies by completing a language test at the university.
The Bridging Program is free of charge. However, the university cannot provide a semester ticket nor reimburse any travel costs
Participation in the Bridging Program does not constitute admission to university studies at the Leuphana University of Lüneburg. Participants will be registered as exta-mural students. There is also no legal right for academic recognition or credit transfer by Leuphana University or any other university. However, the certificates will document successful completion of university courses and may help you to qualify for future studies.
