About me

I am a linguist with interest in the sound and tone systems of language. I was a member of the DFG funded graduate programme IGRA (Interaktion Grammatischer Bausteine/Interaction of Grammatical Building Blocks) where I defended my dissertation entitled "Constraint interaction in Grassfields Bantu tone paradigms". Before my time in IGRA, I received my BA amd MA from the University of Buea in Cameroon. I mainly work on phonology and its interface with syntax and morphology. In my dissertation, I argue for a constraint-based account of the complex tone systems of Grassfields Bantu languages spoken in Cameroon. I am also very interested in language documentation and corpus linguistics.
