LivMat is a project of the BioMat working group and is based at the Institute of Biochemistry in the Department of Biophysical Chemistry. The project coordinator is based at the Leipzig Science Park in the north-east of Leipzig, in the immediate vicinity of the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research GmbH (UFZ), the Leibniz Institute for Surface Modification e.V. (IOM) and the Saxon Institute for Applied Biotechnology e.V. (SIAB).
Arriving by public transport
From the city centre, you can reach the Science Park by taking tram line 3 (towards Taucha).
After getting off at the ‘Permoser-/Torgauer Straße’ stop, you can reach the Science Park via Permoserstraße. Our research group is located in building 9.1, which is a 15-minute walk from the tram stop.
Arriving by car
The Science Park can be reached by car via the A 38 motorway (Göttingen – Leipzig) from the west via the ‘Leipzig-Nordost’ exit or from the east via the ‘Leipzig-Ost’ exit.
