Japanese Language Learning Game „Folktale Mysteries“

Started by Jie Yang, Akiko Sharp, Nathaniel Tan and Alex Madsen at the University of Calgary in 2014, this project aims to develop an immersive and fun video game that helps beginners learn the Japanese language. jGames joined the initiative in summer 2015, hoping to contribute to the future development of the existing prototype and to localize and adapt it to our textbook and curriculum in German. We will test the game prototype in Leipzig this fall to evaluate the interest our students display in the game.

More information about the game can be found on the Peak Pixel Games website.
