Can’t make it to the Language Center for an appointment? No problem, the Language Clinic now offers online sessions!
We understand that there are a number of reasons why you might prefer online tutoring, whether this be scheduling conflicts, bad weather, or last-minute questions. With our online sessions, we aim to reproduce the experience of our face-to-face Language Clinic. The majority of our consultations focus on writing, and we are happy to work on all types of writing with you, no matter whether this be a paper, thesis, essay, or letter of motivation. However, we are also happy to help out with a presentation you have coming up or with general language skills such as grammar or pronunciation.
If you would like to make an online Language Clinic appointment, please click here and follow the instructions.
You will be directed to our Moodle site Language Clinic Online, where you can sign up for an appointment and where you will also go to start your appointment. It takes just a few clicks, and the instructions are on the Moodle page. The appointments will take place in a web conference interface (DFN Webkonferenz). There, you will be able to turn on your video cam and speak with your consultant, send written text in the chat box, and upload documents that you want to review with your consultant.
If you have any questions, please send an email to (at) or call the Academic English Office at 0341/9730276.
