QUAERERE (2012–2017)

Quantifying Aerosol–Cloud–Climate Effects by Regime (QUAERERE) aims to quantify the radiative forcing due to anthropogenic aerosol–cloud interactions. I contributed to the analysis of satellite retrievals of cloud and aerosol properties and performed radiative-transfer calculations to determine the radiative flux perturbations due to anthropogenic aerosol. Learn more about QUAERERE...

HD(CP)2 (2015–2016)

High Definition Clouds and Precipitation for Advancing Climate Prediction HD(CP)2 is a nationwide project that seeks to improve the representation of clouds and precipitation in climate models. I contributed to the evaluation of cloud geometric properties using ground-based observations. Learn more about HD(CP)2...

ECLIPSE (2014)

The Evaluating the CLimate and Air Quality ImPacts of Short-livEd Pollutants (ECLIPSE) project studies short-lived climate forcers in order to provide sound scientific advice on measures that mitigate climate change and improve air quality at the same time. I have contributed model diagnostics to isolate the radiative effect of single aerosol species in model runs. Learn more about ECLIPSE...

Arctic climate modeling (2011–2012)

In this project I evaluated Arctic climate modeling using regime-dependent model–observation comparisons using cloud profiling measurements from the U.S. Department of Energy Atmospheric Radiation Measurement (ARM) program.

E-PEACE (2011–2012)

The Eastern Pacific Emitted Aerosol Cloud Experiment (E-PEACE) looked at aerosol effects on cloud formation in the Californian marine boundary layer through in situ measurement and remote sensing of engineered and incidental aerosol release. Learn more about E-PEACE...
