Samuel Sutton Award

We are requesting nominations for the Samuel Sutton Award for Early Distinguished Scientific Contribution to Human ERPs and Cognition to be presented at the EPIC XIV. Any ERP scientist engaged in active research dealing with human ERPs and cognition, who has received his/her doctorate or completed his/her research training within the last 5 years is eligible for nomination. Anyone wishing to propose a person for this award should submit the person's name, along with a brief statement as to why the nomination is being made. The nomination can be made via mail addressed to Dr. David Friedman, Cognitive Electrophysiology Laboratory, New York Psychiatric Institute, Unit 6, 1051 Riverside Drive, New York City, New York 10032, USA, or via email to df12@columbia.edu.

Nominees will be contacted and requested to provide additional materials, including curriculum vitae, reprints and other documentation in support of their contribution to human ERPs and cognition. The award carries a stipend of $2000 and travel expenses of up to $500, depending upon need. The awardee will be given the opportunity to address the EPIC XIV. The deadline for receipt of nominations is September 1, 2003.
